Nederlands'What we wanted was a structure that would offer us more information on the flow of the periodic account entries that needed to be processed and validated on a monthly basis', says Leo Spaans, Innovation and Projects Manager, who initiated the project. 'Every month we have to consolidate around fifty ledgers and we had no overview of the structure and efficiency of the interrelated account entries. We also wanted to improve our control over the processing of all manual journal entries.'
'To achieve this, we commissioned Quality Online to develop a number of related workflow systems. This enabled us to harmonise the different working methods and financial systems in a single move. The improved information on account entries allowed us to take a series of measures to reduce the number of account entries and the rest could be processed faster, more effectively and more efficiently.'
'Thanks to the new structure, we were able to outsource a number of tasks within just a few weeks, in this case to Surinam. We were able to add 40% more hours to the month-end process, a very hectic and critical period for any large company.'
