History

Since its inception, Quality Online has focused on standardizing and centralizing the process of setting up an organization. In the first 5 years of our existence (1996-2001), we successfully applied Lotus Notes. Also, we were able to implement our solutions, including a Lotus Notes infrastructure, within leading organizations such as KLM, KPN, Toshiba Medical (click here for a complete overview).

In 2001 we decided to develop our own Java Enterprise Application Platform, which we successfully introduced on 1 January 2003. The first customers were KPN and Medical Center Leeuwarden / Zorggroep Noorderbreedte. They were able to migrate their existing Lotus Notes applications to the new environment and to convert these from local solutions to organization-wide solutions.

KPN was so successful, that the number of users organically grew within nine months after the start of the implementation from 1,500 to 8,500 users!

After this successful first step, our clients made a transition to the new Java platform in the following years. After several releases, Quality Online introduced in 2009 its Enterprise Process Management Platform. A new environment, tailored to the needs of organizations to set up processes centrally and to successfully apply the processes through one centrally managed platforms within all entities, brands and regions of an organization.

Vopak, the world's largest tank storage company, also successfully applies Quality Online since 1998, and thus supports all 81 terminals with one centrally managed safety management system. KLM applies Enterprise Process Management since 2007 under the name Q-Blue-Q within all divisions as its central audit management system.

The past year, Quality Online focused on a fundamental change in innovation. Based on the latest Open Source frameworks, we develop an innovative platform that opens new ways in integrating document control and mobile computing. We apply this platform for the innovation of the successful Enterprise Process Management platform and for business integration projects.
